Every bingo maker loses their ‘knitting mojo’ at some point, and there is no rhyme or reason for this; and rediscovering the motivation to pick up a project is different for everyone.

If none of those options appeal to you and you’re still looking for a new approach to your making, the prompts will help you make difficult decisions when your creative juices aren’t flowing, no matter how you choose to play.

Marker’s Bingo Card template include three boards: MAKER, KNITS, and GOALS (which, thankfully, each have five letters like ‘Bingo’).

The MAKER board has broader making themes to encourage you to rediscover your love of making by purchasing supplies from a local business, making something for a friend, or working on your project outside. With prompts such as “choose not to complete a project” or “do not fix a mistake,” it also permits you to make decisions that may be contributing to your crafting block.

The KNITS board goes back to basics, encouraging you to try various knitting techniques such as yarn overs, slipped stitches, and color changes. While many of the skills are already in your personal skill toolbox, taking the time to rediscover something as simple as repetitive knit stitches can be just the palette cleanser you need to get back into the swing of things.

And, because we all make things differently, find a blank GOALS board to fill with your personal goals or projects.

Whether you play with a friend or by yourself, the rules are up to you! Fill all of the spaces on the board or just five to make a straight line. When you win, we want to hear you yell “maker,” “knits,” or “goals”!
